Apart from 'Bib Overalls', 'Chore Coat' (historically known as 'Engineer Sack Coat' or simply 'The Coat') has one of the oldest stories for garments in the Carhartt line. While Carhartt has had coats since as far back as 1892, 1917 marked the first known printed advertisement for a Carhartt jacket with the key features of today's 'Chore Coat'. NB: Wash inside out and alone the first few times, as there is excess color in the fabric. Dyed denim will always fade in color after the first few washes, but over time this will diminish and stop completely.
The model is made in sturdy denim with a loose fit, which gives a more raw and oversized look.
